Whilst the news of events returning is sure to be welcomed by residents, the Town Council’s Armed Forces Day event will not take place again this year. The difficult decision was made to cancel for a second successive year. The event, which is supported by Harbour Park, was due to take place on East Green on Saturday 26th June and is always a popular draw for local residents and tourists alike. It is the Town Council’s priority to ensure the health and safety of all those involved in the staging and running of the event, as well as wider public health. The Council will mark the national celebration through a series of virtual activities that will be available on its Facebook page.
