Captain Ville Tuomainen from 31 Squadron, Karelia Air Command will be the principle F/A-18C Hornet solo display pilot for the 2026 season. The reserve display pilot is Captain Joni Kouva from the Lapland Air Command. Tuomainen is qualified instructor on the Hornet and earlier this year completed his 1000th hour flying Finland main front-line combat aircraft.

This year, the Finnish Air Force Hornet solo will participate in events in Finland, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Greece.
