Late last year, the organisers of Aviatická pouť announced their usual home of Pardubice was no longer available due to the needs of the Czech Armed Forces. They had already announced the 2026 date of 30th-31st May 2026. Today, they have announced the event will live on at Hradec Králové which was formally home to the Czech International Air Fest event retaining its scheduled date.

The statement on their social media reads, “The originally planned date for May 30 and 31, 2026 remains unchanged, the scope of the event and the program as well, we are only changing the airport, which will be even larger in area for spectators than the one in Pardubice. In recent weeks, a number of meetings have taken place, especially with representatives of the city of Hradec Králové, the Hradec Králové Region and the Hradec Králové Air Services. The negotiations were accommodating and we received the necessary support.”

Governor Petr Koleta said, “The Aviation Fair is a traditional and popular event that attracts tens of thousands of visitors of all generations every year. The Hradec Králové Region therefore plans to financially support this event. We are aware of its importance not only for the development of tourism, but also for further strengthening the good name of the region. Thanks to its extensive experience with the CIAF International Aviation Day, the airport in Hradec Králové has excellent facilities for such large events, and I am convinced that the Aviation Fair will attract not only the inhabitants of our region, but also the general public from all over the Czech Republic.

The Mayor of Hradec Králové, Pavlína Springerová, adds: “The Aviation Fair is one of the iconic aviation events in our country and its relocation to Hradec Králové confirms that we are a city that can quickly and efficiently look for solutions. Hradec has a quality background, experience in organizing large events and an open approach to new opportunities. This exceptional event combines aviation history, top aerobatics and a program for the whole family, and we believe that it will attract thousands of visitors from all over the country to the city.

We will inform our existing business partners about the change in the coming days and at the same time we are looking for new partners, supporters and suppliers for Hradec Králové Airport. In the coming days, the advance sale of tickets at discounted prices will also be resumed. Tickets already purchased with QR codes are valid, there is no need to change them,” said Josef Piňos, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aviation Fair Association.
