The organisers of the Sywell 2024 Airshow Weekend have confirmed in a statement on their social media that this year’s event will remain a on-off. Sywell 2024 was an incredible event that was very well received by visitors and participants. It not only brought together a stellar cast of historic aircraft from across Europe, but also contained some memorable formations and unique display routines that made it stand out from other events.
Sywell 2024 was organised by a small team led by the late Richard Grace who recently passed away following an illness. His ‘Go Big or Go Home’ attitude and ideas for the perfect airshow certainly bore fruit with an event that will live long in the memory of all those who attended. Understandably, those who worked with Richard to bring Sywell 2024 together want to sign off from the event on high note as a testament to his legacy and vision for airshows and the restoration of historic aircraft. We wish them well and our thoughts are very much with Richard’s family and friends over the festive period.
