The Shuttleworth Collection has announced its 2023 Airshow Season with a number of rebranded events from May through to September. The Shuttleworth Collection & Gardens is home to vintage vehicles, motorcycles, and over 50 historic aircraft, with adjacent gardens, including the 19th century Regency Swiss Garden. 

Sunday 7th May – Season Premiere – King & Country Air Show – Our Season Premiere will have a unique, celebratory atmosphere throughout, as we mark the momentous occasion of the Coronation of King Charles III, with a once in a generation event at Shuttleworth Collection and Gardens.

Saturday 20th May – Special Operations Evening Show – Honouring all those who worked in intelligence and observation during several military campaigns, our Special Operations Evening Air Show celebrates the people, aircraft and vehicles in action during a range of assignments, both in the UK and overseas.

Sunday 4th June – Around the World Air Show – An exciting new edition to this year’s schedule! Grab your family and friends, and head to the Shuttleworth Collection and Gardens for an energetic celebration of world-wide aviation, both in the air and on the ground, with a variety of countries and cultures celebrated throughout the day.

Saturday 17th June – Best of British Evening Air Show – Dig out your Union flags, dust off your bowler hat and join us for our Best of British Evening Air Show on Saturday 17th June. Displaying the very best of British engineering, this evening event showcases the influence the British Isles have had on the aviation, motor vehicle, and steam industries over the years.

Sunday 2nd  July – Military Air Show – Our much-loved Military Air Show returns on Sunday 2nd July, showcasing outstanding and iconic military aircraft which have shaped the course of aviation history.

Saturday 15th July – Summer Evening Picnic Air Show – With the balmy British summer evenings occurring with increasing regularity, we welcome you to enjoy the great outdoors, and what better way to spend an evening than enjoying Shuttleworth’s unique collection of aircraft and vehicles.

Sunday 6th August – Carnival Air Show – We are delighted to announce a Shuttleworth first – a thrilling Carnival Air Show will take place on Saturday 6th August 2023, offering a wonderful, full day of entertainment for all ages. This event will bring the spirit of the carnival to the green and pleasant countryside of rural Bedfordshire, with all the fun of the fair and the thrills of the circus – prepare to be thoroughly entertained!

Saturday 19th August – Flying Proms – We are thrilled to announce that the spectacular Flying Proms will return for another exciting evening of entertainment, both in the air and on ground. Enjoy a full symphony orchestra, accompanied by a gracefully choreographed air display and the unique climax of a firework display and airborne pyrotechnics to music. Don’t miss your chance to witness this spectacular treat for all the senses!

Sunday 3rd September – Bedfordshire Vintage Air Show – Join us for a unique celebration of Shuttleworth’s Steam and Agricultural Heritage, accompanied by a thrilling air display. As well as a unique opportunity to enjoy world-class resident exhibits on parade; witness some of the UK’s finest examples of heritage steam engines, motor vehicles and aircraft.

Sunday 1st October – Wings and Wheels Show – We go out in style at the end of our 2023 Air Show series! Join us on Sunday 1st October for the return of our popular Wings and Wheels Show format. Join us for a spectacular car show, including some true classics from across the UK, and a few unique surprises as vehicles parade and take to the Old Warden Aerodrome.
