The countdown to Wings & Wheels has begun. For its twelfth Show the team have pulled together some spectacular action in the air and on the ground for visitors on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th August.

The airshow remains unchanged following the CAA’s new rules and regulations and visitors will enjoy full displays from all the top teams on both days. Headlining the show are the Red Arrows and Typhoon with displays from the Spitfire and Hurricane of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Black Cats, Sally B, Blades, DC3, B25 Mitchell, P51 Mustang, Hurricane, Tigers Parachute Display Team, Gerald Cooper, Jet Provost and the Turbulent Team.

The Wheels have increased in size and volume! The Motoring Paddock managed by Brooklands Museum is full of over 200 spectacular cars including the limited edition Norton Dominator SS, the only remaining survivor of the French Dieppe 1912 Grand Prix team, the Lorraine-Dietrich 15,000cc G.P., a replica race spec Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe, Aston Martin Vanquish 310, Rolls Royce Phantom 2 Handlye Special and, running on a special racing fuel called nitromethane and methanol, Russ Carpenter’s Daimler V8 Dragster.

The Stunt Zone has two and four wheeled shows with Steve ‘Showtime’ Colley and his Gas Gas stunt Motorbike and Mission Motorsport with their drift demonstrations and Auto Test rides. New is the Monster Zone offering passenger rides and an arena full of classic cars parked up for visitors to walk around and chat to the clubs and drivers. Ford is launching their Mustang and Tesla, Skoda and Destination Triumph have their latest models on display and, in contrast, we have the Dunsfold Collection which has the largest historical collection of Land Rovers in the world.

The Military Zone is full with re-enactors, military vehicles and tanks firing and battling as well as offering passenger rides. The recruiting teams from the RAF, Army and Navy are bringing along some spectacular demonstrations of the equipment and training required to join their ranks.

The 747, VC10 and DC3 are all open for the viewing public to experience tours and learn about these exciting aircraft. The VC10 will also be blasting down the runway on Sunday at 09:30.

There will be retail shopping, a new craft marquee, fun fair and a Zone specially created for the little ones to enjoy free activities like colouring and painting, games and prizes.

The glamorous trio that make up Champagne at The Blitz will be bringing some classic musical entertainment to Wings & Wheels on the central Arena stage throughout the day and evening. In addition, new for 2016, are theatrical performers Motor Aces. With a passion for fast cars and fabulous stories, Stephen “Abs” Wisdom and Alex Burnham have created a show to entertain the whole family with life size replica racing cars, funny scripts and authentic costumes taking visitors back to the 70s.

Jamie McAllister, Event Director comments: “We are delighted that Wings & Wheels will once again be thrilling our visitors with dynamic, breathtaking air and motoring displays. Following the new CAA regulations, the team has worked hard to deliver an exciting display, with only one or two modest changes to the crowd line distance of the Turbulent Team and helicopters. As well as the Wings we have the Wheels Zone, Military Zone, Sid’s Zone and a variety of shopping including a new Craft Marquee. There is so much to do at Wings & Wheels you can’t possibly fit it all in on one day!”
