The Red Arrows

The world-renowned Red Arrows will be thrilling the crowds again at this year’s Weston Air Festival on the 18th June.

They will be performing on the Saturday of the two-day festival which takes place over the weekend of 18 and 19 June.

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team will be heading to Weston-super-Mare for the fourth year running to perform their spectacular precision flying display, complete with trademark formations, close passes and dynamic loops and rolls.

Joining the Red Arrows this year for its first appearance at Weston is the RAF Eurofighter Typhoon, a twin-engine fighter plane. (Also 18th June Only)

The air show will incorporate the town’s Armed Forces celebrations with military exhibitions and displays. Following the flag raising ceremony, there will be marching displays and performances from military bands.

In addition to a full weekend of air displays, there will be fun fair rides, trade stands and activities such as mini tanks, a zip-wire and giant inflatables.

Cllr Felicity Baker, North Somerset Council’s executive member for tourism, said: “It gives me enormous pleasure to confirm that the Red Arrows and Typhoon will be performing at the Weston Air Festival this year.

“The festival is now firmly established in the air show calendar and is the latest addition to what promises to be a packed summer of events on Weston’s seafront.”
