2025 saw major events mark the 80th Anniversaries of VE (Victory in Europe) Day and VJ (Victory over Japan) Day. These started in early May with a major flypast over Central London and continued throughout the summer. Amongst the other highlights of the season were the growth of the English Riviera Airshow and Wallop Wings and Wheels plus a particularly memorable flying display in Ayr. In November, the United Arab Emirates Air Force display display, Fursan Al Emarat performed their debut displays at the Dubai Airshow flying their new Hongdu L-15 Falcon aircraft.
