Duxford Flying Proms 2007
Around the country, a number of events are appearing marrying air displays to popular classical music. They are proving a very popular and are helping to expand an industry that is otherwise struggling to cope with increased costs. One of the best know venues to host one of these “Flying Proms” is the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.
2007’s poor weather continued for another week and threatened to disrupt Duxford’s mid season Flying Proms. Fortunately, the weather came just before the performance and just cleared in time for the flying display which featured the Aerostars, Swift Aerobatic Team, UH-1H G-HUEY, Jet Provost G-BKOU plus the pairing of the Historic Aircraft Collection’s Spitfire Vb and Spitfire Ltd’s Hawker Hurricane XII.
