Shuttleworth Autumn Air Display
Poor weather blighted the Shuttleworth Collection’s final air display of 2006 with heavy rain showers and dark skies for much of the afternoon. Remarkably though, a good deal of flying did take place with many of the Collection’s more resilient aircraft taking to the skies.
There were also some visiting displays despite poor weather elsewhere in the UK. Air Atlantique’s Percival Prentice made a welcome visit to Old Warden as did Nick Barnard flying his Sukhoi Su-29 two-seat aerobatic aircraft. Rounding off the days flying was Peter Teichman in his P-51D Mustang ‘Jumpin Jaques’ who just managed to get his display in before another rain leden cloud enveloped Old Warden.
