The 2003 Pageant marked the 75th Anniversary of the Shuttleworth Collection. In a year in which the 100th Anniversary of Powered Flight was also being marked, this was a particularly special show.

The Pageant is traditionally a show in which the flying display exclusively featured aircraft from the Shuttleworth Collection whether they be from the current fleet or had been formally been part of the Collection.

Another significant moment in flying display was an appearance by the RAF Museum’s Luft-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (LVG) C.VI . 2003 was the final year this aircraft, the last airworthy German military aircraft from the First World War, would participate in flying displays before it headed to Hendon for permanent exhibition.
