Kemble was very much at the centre of the UK classic jet movement in 2003 as home to the Delta Jets operation. In late September, they brought back their popular Open Day event for one final fling of classic jet action in the skies over the Cotswolds.

Unlike previous Open Days, this one was not held around Delta Jets old hangars. Instead the event moved to the area around the Control Tower and welcome a number of visiting aircraft including the Red Bull liveried de Havilland Sea Vixen FAW2, Classic Aviation Projects’ BAC Canberra B2/6, Tom Moloney’s BAC Strikemaster plus the de Havilland Vampire T11 and BAC Jet Provost T5 from Gower Jets.
