Airbourne: Eastbourne International Airshow has been a highlight of the summer holiday season for many years. The event is one of the most important for raising the profile of the armed services, particularly the Royal Air Force, in an area with few military bases.

Eastbourne is home to the original four-day seafront aviation festival – Airbourne. The show gets superb support from the UK’s armed services, particularly the Royal Air Force whose ensign flies proudly over the seafront through the four day airshow.
The event in 2003 and 2004 was also very popular with the European Air Arms which some superb displays from the Belgian and Royal Netherlands Air Forces. Supporting the military displays are some of the best from historic and civilian operators.
