The May Classic Evening Airshow was all very good, but the weather didn’t play ball. Therefore, when the weather forecast predicted absolutely perfect conditions for the June Evening Airshow, it was a no-brainer to head back to Old Warden to sample the real Old Warden magic that only the evening events bring. AIRSHOW NEWS: Trio queueing up on runway for Clacton Airshow 2017

Three more exciting flight display teams are queueing up on the runway to join the action at Clacton Airshow 2017. Organisers are delighted to have signed up Team Raven, the Vampire Pair and Gerald Cooper for both days of the event on August 24 and 25. The De Havilland Vampire FB.52 and FB.55 appeared at last year’s event and put on a thrilling display with their top speeds of 548mph. AIRSHOW NEWS: Old meets New at Air Tattoo

The Royal International Air Tattoo’s celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the United States Air Force at RAF Fairford on July 14-16 will feature a special ‘then and now’ formation of American fighter aircraft, as a North American P-51D Mustang from the Second World War teams up with a present-day Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptor. This USAF Heritage Flight display will involve a P-51D visiting from the United States and flown by leading US warbird pilot Dan Friedkin. REVIEW: Tactical Weapon Meet Spottersday, Florennes

During June 2017, No 1 “Stingers” Squadron of the Belgian Air Force hosted the Tactical Weapon Meet exercise at Florennes Air Force Base. The exercise brought together units from the air forces of Belgium, Greece, Italy, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom for two weeks of training missions. 2017 also marked the centenary of the host squadron which formed at the height of the First World War.
