2016 will be an interesting year with the major airshows marking a wide variety of themes. The RAF’s only major airshow of the year will take place at RAF Cosford which will celebrate the development of the jet engine, training and the 75th Anniversary of the Air Cadets. The latter theme will also be marked in a big way at the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford. 2016 should also finally see the European début of the F-35 Lightning II and it is hoped that it will appear a number of big events events including RIAT and Farnborough amongst others.
