Airbourne: Eastbourne International Airshow is getting ready for a golden year of RAF displays, joining the RAF Red Arrows in celebrating 50 years of flying.
With four days of Red Arrows displays already confirmed, Eastbourne will also welcome the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Tucano, Tutor, Sea King and for fast jet fans, the resounding heavy metal of the Eurofighter Typhoon.
The four day free seafront airshow which runs from 14 – 17 August also sees the return of the Army and Navy too, with a larger military exhibition planned for the Western Lawns, and many more aircraft and international displays still to come.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Leisure & Sports Services, Cllr Carolyn Heaps said “After the fantastic news about the Red Arrows, it’s great to see favourites such as the Typhoon and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight also joining the line up again. Its still early days for our flying programme, so this is a great start to a golden year!”
